History
Replica of a Bermudian sloop of war, often used
by the Pirates of the Caribbean for being a swift, shallow drafted
vessel ideally suited for their infamous trade. Captain Jean Laffite
is known to have owned and used in the waters around Mujeres a small
single-masted sailing ship just like the "Corsario".
She was built in Chicxulub, Yucatan, by
experienced mexican shipwrights, carefully researched and detailed to make her
look very much like the vessels used during the end of the XVIII th. and
beginning of the XIX th. century. We integrated into the design, the
necessary modern life and safety commodities, without loosing her fine
waterlines, that makes her a fast and comfortable vessel to sail with.
